“7 styles, 7 ways, 7everal emotions on display”
– Big Sattz
777 is the debut project from Big Sattz, featuring 7 tracks released on the 7th day of the 7th month of 2025.
This is a difficult tape to box into one genre because the approaches are so different across the short 15-minute runtime, which makes the cohesive start-to-finish flow he’s managed to weave even more impressive.
For example, you’ve got Riddim Ryderz, the lead single. It’s an infectious summer groove with a half-sung, half-rapped approach that will have you feeling like you’re dancing on a cloud. Immediately after is Songbird, which flips the vibe on its head; think of the morning after the night before, where you find yourself deeping everything.
Two tracks later, we’ve got Lil Mama with a litany of Latin percussion, a pounding bassline and special guest singer Flora (also heard on NE1’s WIMTB EP). This song is slicker than olive oil and leads us into the finale, 4rmDaWomb2DaTomb, which concludes on a more philosophical note.
777 is worth sticking on a loop because it’s such a seamless, compact sequence that flows like a perfect circle. Don’t miss out on a short and sweet tape that’s safe on the aux for any time and place!
“From the womb to the tomb we all succumb to,
Life’s greater movements, fall in line or fall alone,
Knocking on the sky, tryna listen to the sound that grows,
Echoing through your soul: knock knock, anybody home?”
